CEO of Lännen MCE Group changes

As of June 1, 2023, Veli Ollila, M.Sc. LLM has been appointed as CEO of Lännen MCE Group. The Group's current CEO and main owner, M.Sc. LLM Timo Huttunen, will take over the lead of the Group's most international business, Watermaster. Timo Huttunen will also continue as chairman of the Group's board of directors.

Veli Ollila is moving to Lännen from the position of CEO of Jackon Finland Oy, where he has working for 10 years. Before that, he has worked, e.g. as CFO of Panostaja PLC. In recent years, he has served on the boards of Lännen MCE Oy and its subsidiaries.

- It is exciting to return to the business of the LMCE Group, after a twenty-years working outside the Group. Back then, old Lännen Engineering was a company with one product and two geographic market areas, while today's LMCE is a multi-product company that exports its products to more than 80 countries. I believe that my own entrepreneurial background combined with a long-term working career in international organizations will help in the future growth and development of LMCE Group. I was in Timo's organization at the beginning of the 2000s, and we have cooperated a lot in the last 20 years. We share the same ideas about internationality, investing in growth and active ownership, commented Veli Ollila.

In recent years, the most international Watermaster business of Lännen MCE Group has been led by Janne Heinonen, who will be moving to a new employer in May. When the group management changes, Timo Huttunen takes over responsibility for the Watermaster business, continuing to strengthen the international growth of the business.

- Our team has done a good job in the recent years at Watermaster under Janne's leadership. Now the goal is to continue our growth path, as the company's operating methods have been refined to meet the challenges of growth. We recently sold our 400th Watermaster and the product has been successfully exported to over 80 countries. Due to climate change, global population growth and urbanization, the need to clean waterways, control flooding and remove invasive aquatic vegetation is growing. For these needs, Watermaster provides a multipurpose, mobile, and environmentally friendly solution – a single Watermaster is capable of performing the tasks of multiple traditional machines, Huttunen commented.
